Steve Thornton Steve Thornton, Chief Executive Officer
Steve brings over 27 years of broad experience working within both large and small pharmaceutical companies, both branded and generic, as well as in the area of medical devices and drug delivery. This experience was gained through a variety of career moves culminating in senior executive positions with Eli Lilly, Bayer, and Elan, and most recently in SkyePharma Inc., where he served as President. Moving through a variety of sales and marketing positions culminating in country management positions, his recent executive management positions have seen him managing all aspects of product development, from formulation, through pre-clinical and clinical development, regulatory, manufacturing and supply logistics. He is highly experienced in the areas of in and out licensing of products and has been involved in a variety of start up operations, joint ventures and acquisitions.

Damien Kelly Damien Kelly, BSc, MBA, Chief Financial Officer
Damien Kelly has over 14 years experience in the pharmaceutical industry. He held senior positions as finance manager at Thermo King, a subsidiary of Westinghouse Electric, and financial controller and operations director of Carroll’s, a subsidiary of Rothmans Plc. Mr Kelly also worked as a senior financial analyst with Digital Equipment Corporation. Most recently, he spearheaded the refurbishment of the Bioniche Pharma manufacturing plant in 1994 that lead to the company’s first successful FDA inspection in 1996.

George Zorich George Zorich, President, North American Operations
George Zorich began his career with Eli Lilly and Company in 1979 and has held executive positions in branded, generic and distribution healthcare companies including Roxane Laboratories, Fujisawa and Akorn. More recently, he was president of General Injectables and Vaccines (GIV), a leader in vaccine and injectables distribution to the physician office market, leading to its sale to Henry Schein. Mr. Zorich then became president of Sabex US, a Roundtable Healthcare Partners acquisition and a manufacturer of generic injectables, eventually leading to its sale to Sandoz, where he then headed up the US Injectables Business for Sandoz. Mr Zorich is currently on the Board of Directors of the Generic Pharmaceutical Association (GPhA) and the American College of Phlebology Foundation (ACPF). He received his pharmacy degree from the University of Wisconsin.

Patricia K. McCullough Patricia K. McCullough, SVP Business Development, USA
Pat McCullough is a senior executive with over 20 years experience in the Pharmaceutical Industry. Prior to joining Bioniche Pharma, she was CEO of ETHEX Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of KV Pharmaceutical. Her career includes executive and senior management positions at Taro Pharmaceuticals, where she was Group Vice President. Prior to Taro, Pat was Senior Vice President, Account Development, at Cardinal Health in the Pharmaceutical Technologies and Services Segment, after holding the position of Vice President, Pharmaceutical Sales and Marketing. Before joining Cardinal, Pat was Vice President, International Business Development at Watson Pharmaceuticals, and Vice President, Marketing at Schein Pharmaceuticals prior to it being acquired by Watson.

Daniel S. Robins Daniel S. Robins, Ph.D, VP of Global Development
Daniel S. Robins, PhD, began his career at Pentech Pharmaceuticals, then became a senior scientist at Schering-Plough Research Institute. He later joined Duramed, a subsidiary of Barr Laboratories, as Senior Director of Analytical R&D. Most recently he was Vice President of R&D/Product Development at APP, now called Abraxis Pharmaceutical Products. Dr Robins earned his BA from LaSalle University, his MS and PhD in chemistry from The Ohio State University, and his MBA from the Leonard N. Stern School of Business at New York University.

Dieter Thummel Dieter Thummel, PhD, International Area Director
Before joining the Bioniche Pharma International Representative Office in Geneva, Switzerland in 2003, Dieter – a Swiss citizen from Basel - spent notably more than 25 years of his professional life with one of the top ten pharmaceuticals companies, where he held different senior management positions as Marketing Manager and General Manager of an affiliate company, before joining the Board of Management of their Consumer Health Division as a VP in charge, subsequently, of different regional businesses (Europe, Central & Eastern Europe, MEA, Latin America) of the division. Dieter graduated from the University of Basel, Switzerland with a PhD in economics/marketing.
